In 1991, an unconventional high school teacher in Middletown, New York, hands his students video cameras and sends them looking for a story. What begins with a mysterious gurgling puddle blooms into an unlikely exposé of toxic dumping and political corruption. Three decades later, they revisit the experience, reckoning with what they uncovered and how it shaped them.
“Magnificent…A masterclass in the use of archival material.”
POV Magazine
“McBaine, Moss and editor Christopher Passig (Telemarketers) craft a story that has the beats of a 60 Minutes segment with hints of the emotional insights of a John Hughes movie.”
Variety
“A genuinely uplifting portrait of activism under fire.”
